Fall is approaching and with it brings exciting things for W.T. Vintners! Harvest is just around the corner and we are excited to share the release of two single-vineyard Syrah’s: 2012 Gorgeous from Destiny Ridge Vineyard in Horse Heaven Hills and Seattle Magazine’s 2014 “Best Syrah over $20”, the 2011 Damavian from Les Collines Vineyard in the Walla Walla Valley.
We hope you can join the W.T. Vintners family on September 13th or 14th from 1-5pm to taste our new releases:
2012 Gorgeous Syrah “Destiny Ridge Vineyard” Horse Heaven Hills.
Our signature wine unwinds with fresh vibrant blueberry, black cherry and black plum laced with black pepper and wild game. With a bit of time in the glass bitter chocolate, lavender, sage, bacon and soy emerge. Our 2012 Gorgeous Syrah is delicious right out of the gate but will continue to improve with a bit of aging in the cellar. Drink 2014-2018, less than 100 cases produced.
2011 Damavian Syrah “Les Collines Vineyard” Walla Walla Valley.
The 2011 Damavian leads with notes of blueberry, black cherry, peppered steak and Les Collines hallmark crushed violets. Layers emerge with maple cured bacon, cocoa, fresh herbs and exotic spices, followed by sweet tobacco, briny olives and black licorice. The tannins are assertive but silky. While it is an outstanding wine today it will reward patience for up to a decade in your cellar. Drink 2014-2024, 56 cases produced.
