Everyone knows Woodinville is a hotbed for the wine business, but it turns out there’s a lot more to the trade on the Eastside than can be explained by any one city or specialty.
The upshot of San Francisco, California’s RN74 closing last year was that the Seattle location cherry-picked from that cellar, doubling the breadth and depth of its own. Verticals of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti and Domaine Dujac now join an ever-expanding selection of Washington and Oregon wines. From the Sommelier: “While Burgundy is becoming more and […]

Single-Vineyard Wine Set For the true wine geek in your life, here’s a rare glimpse into the way single-varietal reds — syrah, grenache, and mourvèdre from Yakima Valley’s acclaimed Boushey Vineyard — from the same vintage and location taste individually and blended, Châteauneuf-du-Pape-style. The four wines from WT Vintners are also available individually; if you […]
According to sommelier Morgan Harris, Washington is the perfect place to look for wines for this year’s Thanksgiving table. In particular, Harris finds the state’s Grenache and Syrahs perfect for a family feast. One favorite of the Grenache we sampled is the W.T.
